A Visit From Mayor Goodman

Vegas Fashion Project had the special honor of a visit from Mayor Carolyn Goodman this morning. VFP aims to shed some light on emerging designers that create and produce right here in Vegas. With a prime location at the Clarion, only steps away from the convention center, and a top-notch fashion show, VFP has kicked off in style. What would be the perfect way to start day two? A visit from the Mayor. Done and done. It certainly looks like she had fun shopping and meeting the designers.

Project event spearheaded by the celebrity haute couture designer David Tupaz, Wanda Potter-Merritt, Louisa Voisine, Dayana Rueda of Sifontes, Alyssa Blue of Blue Fit Clothing, Kristen Pock of Rhinestones & Razorblades, Catherine Trifilletti, Derek Smoot & Josh Dismond of Dapper Industries, Brenton Coon of B Darricks and Jeaune Roe.

Vegas Fashion Project

Vegas Fashion Project (VFP) is a local organization that is comprised of both emerging and established designers that deliver limited quantities that are manufactured in the USA. The mission of VFP is to create an opportunity for Las Vegas designers to show their lines to WWDMagic buyers who carry boutique and specialty lines such as these.

VFP provides Vegas-based  designers with a platform to showcase their collections to local, national, and international buyers during WWDMagic. Lines vary from sportswear, casuals, formals and fashion accessories.

 

This event is to be considered a teaser for a larger show in August 2014, where there will be many more designers represented. The event will kick off Monday, February 17th with a fashion show and performances starting at 4 pm.
